'My Country' - A Film with just One Character

Telugu cinema has achieved another first. It has come out with a film that has only one character. The movie, named My Country, is directed by M. Chandrabhushan Rao, who is debuting as director through this film says, “The story revolves around a girl who strives to safeguard the country. I hope to get nationwide recognition through this film.” And produced by N. Ramesh Kumar with Bhavya playing the lead role.

"Most of the film has been shot in Talakona. There are altogether four songs. The post production work is currently underway and the first copy will be out in a week. This is a first in world cinema. Something like this has never been attempted before. We should be proud of this achievement. We are planning to release the film by September and later English version of the film would release across the country," said Ramesh Kumar.

Music by Kishan Kavadia, lyrics by Ramarao, cinematography by Srinivas, editing by Ram Surada are the other credits.

Allegations on the working and management of the blood bank have been questioned many a times. Producer and trustee of the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, that manages the Blood Bank, Allu Arvind, came forward and asked the Government authorities to come and check the operations of the blood bank themselves. He even invited people who are in doubt, to come and check for themselves.

Allu Arvind rubbished the allegations and said that the Blood Bank was running smoothly thanks to constant patronage of fans and others. He went on to add saying that such false allegations were made for personal and political mileage.

To support for the cause, the hundreds of Chiranjeevi fans came forward to prove the allegations were wrong. The Chiranjeevi Blood Bank has been active since 1998. It was awarded the ‘Best Voluntary Blood Bank’ by Andhra Pradesh Government for 2002 and 2003.

Horror flick 'Arundhati Bungalow' in Aug 3rd week

Hollywood’s horror flick ‘1408’ based on Stephen King short story of the same title was jointly made by Dimension Films & Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The film’s budget was about Rs 120 crores and its net profit was Rs 520 crores.

Now being dubbed into Telugu with the title ‘Arundhati Bungalow’ by Muthyala Ramdas under Lakshmi Venkatasai Films banner, the film is directed by the Swedish director Mikael Hafstrom, who earlier directed the horror film ‘Drowning Ghost’. The cast includes ‘2012 Yugaantham’ fame John Cusack, Samuel L Jackson and Mary McCormack.

Mike Enslin (John Cusack), an author who specializes in the horror genre and investigates haunted houses, eventually learns of ‘Room No. 1048’ inthe Dolphin Hotel in New York City. Hence he decides to spend a night in the hotel even after receiving a strong warning by the Hotel manager Olin (Samuel L Jackson). How Enslin encounters a series of bizarre experiences in the room is the film all about.

According to Muthyala Ramdas, the movie will keep the audience glued to their seats right from start to end. ‘Arundhati Bangalow’ will be released in theaters in 3rd week of August. The film will be presented by AP Media.

Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao bagged ‘Robo’ Telugu dubbing rights for Rs. 30 crores – The highest Price in India for any movie. Telugu movie producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, of Sri Tirumala Tirupathi Venkateshwara Films distribution has bought the ‘Robo’ Telugu dubbing rights for Rs. 30 crores.

Several Telugu cinema producers left to Chennai to grab the ‘Robo’ Telugu dubbing rights. One of them includes producer Bellamkonda Suresh who has quoted around 23 crores. However, Sun Pictures supremo Dayanidhi Maran clarified that the ‘Robo’ Telugu dubbing rights would be sold for not less than 30 crores.

Riteish Deshmukh switches from a cornrow hairstyle to his regular long-maned look

Riteish Deshmukh has been experimenting with different hairstyles for his next film Dhamaal 2. A week ago he went in for a cornrow hairstyle at Aalim's salon. Yesterday, he got rid of the braided look.

Says the Aladin actor, "I like long hair and my character is such in Dhamaal 2 that I can keep experimenting with my hair especially in the second half. I have been trying out different looks. Last week, I went to Aalim and asked Mayuri (one of the stylists there) to give him a cool, different look. She suggested the cornrow style and said it would take three hours to do."

He adds, "I had an idea what it might look like but when Mayuri showed me the final results I thought it was very cool. Now is the time to experiment with different looks. I am trying to figure out my schedule so I can use the cornrow style in the film. My family was, of course, shocked when they saw me. They have never seen anybody with such hair! But my friends loved it and thought it was different."

The actor didn't keep the look for very long. "It's difficult sleeping with the cornrow hairstyle and it was becoming quite painful for me as the hair is braided too tight. And so, I removed them yesterday morning," he reasons.

Aalim says, "Cornrows are trendy. David Beckham used to sport it earlier. Riteish loves to experiment with his various hairstyles and stylish colours too. We had earlier tried the cornrow look with Hrithik Roshan for one of his hoardings."

Cornrow hairstyles are a style of braiding the hair close to the scalp. While usually done in straight rows, the cornrow can also be seen in complex geometric and curved patterns. The style is favoured for its easy maintenance. It can be left in for weeks at a time with careful washing and oiling of the hair and scalp. In the 1960s. the styles became widely popular among African Americans.

Kareena Kapoor and boyfriend Saif Ali Khan will be bringing in his birthday (August 16) in Latvia, where he is shooting for his home production Agent Vinod. Bebo has even requested her RA.One producer Shah Rukh Khan for a few days off from her London shoot.

Says a source, "While the actress has requested leave of absence from SRK to promote We Are Family in Mumbai, she will take two more days off to go to Latvia.

They could spend time at their Swiss chalet where they spend their Christmas holidays or even in Italy. Kareena definitely has some special plans lined up for her guy. Every detail has been planned to the last detail but Bebo, who's a private person, doesn't want to divulge anything about the birthday plans."

Says Kareena, "I'm in London and will come to Mumbai this week and then, in September, when the film releases. As far as Saif's birthday is concerned, I am not sure whether I will spend it with him or not. He's shooting in Latvia and I am shooting in London. I haven't asked Shah Rukh for two more days of leave. Saif and I have already spent some time in London."

What is she gifting him for his birthday? "I haven't bought anything as yet. I will have to think about it as he has everything. Maybe I will buy him something in London."

Last year, Kareena had taken off with Saif on his birthday to an undisclosed location near Chicago for a secret vacation after completing their shoot for Kurbaan. In 2008, Kareena had thrown a birthday party for Saif at a nightspot in Mumbai.

Tusshar turns Baddie for Priyadarshan

Tusshar Kapoor will be seen playing the bad guy in Priyadarshan's next, tentatively titled Bullet Train. His last negative role was in 2007's Shootout At Lokhandwala. The actor is working on a new look for the film, which is being shot extensively in London.

An excited Tusshki says, "It's always interesting to portray a dark character. I am lucky to have a chance to play different roles in my forthcoming films."

Can't wait

Kapoor says he's looking forward to performing some daredevil stunts in the action flick. "There will be some super stunts in Priyan's film. I can't wait to be a part of them. I haven't done too many action films so I can't wait to begin work." The project will be the actor's sixth film with Ajay. "He's one of the reasons why I am doing the film. I am completely at ease when Ajay's around."

The next six months are packed as he completes work on Rajshri's film Love You Mr Kalakaar! and begins the promotion of Shor and Golmaal 3. "I just have the next few days to myself. After that, I will be shooting non-stop for my forthcoming films."

Apart from Tusshar, Bullet Train stars Ajay Devgn, Kangna Ranaut, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Shetty and Vidya Balan.

Anil Kapoor's free offer for Salman Khan

Anil Kapoor won't charge fee for acting in the remake of a Marathi film produced by Salman Khan's Being Human Foundation

Anil Kapoor will work for free in Mahesh Manjrekar's Hindi remake of Mee Shivajiraje Bhosle Boltoy (MSBB), produced by Salman Khan's Being Human Foundation.

Says a source, "Anil and Mahesh met at Khan's house a few days ago to finalise the details. An announcement will be made shortly, Anil is expected to play the role Sachin Khedekar played in the original."

Manjrekar prefers to be guarded. He says, "We are in talks with stars but at this stage, I do not want to name anyone. There is many a slip between the cup and the lip. Once everything is on paper, we will make a formal announcement."

Mee Shivajiraje..., which released in April 2009, was penned by Manjrekar who played the title role. The movie is about an ordinary middle-class Maharashtrian (played by Khedekar) who finds nothing going right for him.

Enter Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who transforms his life and tells him to take responsibility for what he does. The film is akin to Lage Raho Munnabhai, which had Mahatma Gandhi guiding Munnabhai. Like Munnabhai, who alone could see the Father of the Nation, in MSBB, only the simple Maharashtrian guy can see the Chhatrapati. Apart from MSBB, Manjrekar's other Marathi film Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho (SAG), which takes on the educational system, is also being produced under the Being Human banner.

Adds Manjrekar, "I will be remaking both films. SAG will go on the floors first."

Sajid Khan angers Punjab Sikh Groups

The exit of a seven-year-old participant from the 'India's Got Talent' reality show after judge Sajid Khan commmented that the martial arts dance form he performed was too violent has angererd Sikh groups in Punjab.

'Gatka' (a traditional martial arts dance form of the Nihang sect of the Sikh religion) bodies are objecting to the ouster of Manpreet Singh of Tarn Taran from the reality show that runs on Colours TV and debarred him from demonstrating the routine.

Sajid Khan had commented, after Manpreet's performance, that the 'Gatka' performed during the show was too violent.

The Gatka Federation of India (GFI) and Punjab Gatka Association (PGA), recognised by the Punjab Olympic Association, have urged the Akal Takht head (Jathedar) Gurbachan Singh to take strict action against the television channel.

In a statement, GFI general secretary H.S Grewal and PGA joint secretary Jagmohanjit Singh said that Sajid Khan's reaction on the TV show had hurt the sentiments of Sikhs and Gatka sportspersons by terming it violent for his age.

They added that Gatka, a traditional martial art of self-defence, was introduced in India around 4,000 years ago by the Aryans and is the mother of all martial arts.

Grewal said that even the Punjab Olympic Association had recognised Gatka and the education department in Punjab has also incorporated Gatka game in Punjab schools, colleges and universities sports calendars.

The GFI and PGA have sought an unconditional apology from the channel and its judge.

People of both sexes - and sexual orientation - just love Imran Khan. That’s the verdict given by the readers of a website in the new poll asking them to vote for the actor who best suits the tag of Gay Icon. There were four options - Imran, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.

More than 1900 votes were cast and surprisingly, John, whom we expected to give tough competition to Imran came third with just 20 percent votes. The top spot was taken by Imran Khan with 34 percent ayes.

Imran got tough competition from Abhishek Bachchan, the Dostana star, who managed 31 percent votes.

Ranbir Kapoor certainly doesn’t fit the bill as a gay icon. He came last with meagre 16 percent approval.

Imran, who is once again riding the crest of popularity following the good run of his last release I Hate Luv Storys recently said that he found it flattering to be a gay icon.

Seems like producer-director Hema Malini has set a trend. Recently, the Sanjay Dutt-Kangna Ranaut starrer Knockout ran into trouble. The film’s producer Sohail Maklai and director Mani Shankar are at loggerheads with each other over creative differences.

Power equations have now changed to such an extent that there is no scope for an amicable discussion between the two. A source says, “There are serious creative differences between the producer and the director of the film. Presently, Sohail and Mani are not even on talking terms.”

Though work on the film started well, the latter half of the shooting schedules saw a lot of arguments between Sohail and Mani. Apparently, the film expenditure kept multiplying with time and as a result, the budget limits collapsed. This irked Sohail.

But surprisingly, Mani has decided to be absent at the final edit sessions of the film, which are currently in progress. The source adds, “Mani is in Hyderabad and Sohail in Mumbai. Sohail and his team have taken charge at the editing table.

And guess who is trying to build bridges? Kangna Ranaut. The actress has been making incessant calls to both Sohail and Mani, urging them to resolve their differences for the sake of the film.

The source adds, “Knockout is very close to Kangna’s heart. This will be her second action thriller after Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. She believes that the director’s inputs are crucial in every aspect of the film.”

Sohail however refuses to admit the story and says, “No, this is not true but you can check with Mani.”

Vidya Balan has not been cast in Rascals because she walked out on Dhamaal 2, according to Real Bollywood.

Earlier reports suggested that the actress did not star in the Dhamaal sequel because the film's producers refused to agree to her wage demands.

It has now been claimed that Balan has missed out on a part in Sanjay Dutt Productions's first film because of her actions surrounding Dhamaal 2.

Dutt is starring in Dhamaal 2 and was allegedly not impressed by Balan's behaviour.

Rascals director David Dhawan denied the rumours, saying: “Vidya Balan was not suitable for this role even though she is a fine actress.

Emraan Hashmi, who essayed the role of a don loosely inspired by Dawood Ebrahim in `Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai`, was offered to play alleged serial killer Charles Sobhraj but the actor turned it down.

Director Prawal Raman, who has directed films like `Loot`, `Zabardast`, `Gayab` and `Darna Mana Hai`, wants to bring the life of Sobhraj onscreen and wanted Emraan to play the role.

Emraan, however, declined the offer because he did not want to play another negative character so soon.

"Emraan does not see the point of doing another role on the same lines. He does not want to be type-casted in any particular role. Not that he will never do another role like that of Shoaib but he wants some gap," said a source close to the actor.

Sobhraj, who is a French citizen and is of Indian and Vietnamese origin, is serving a life sentence in Nepal for the murder of an American tourist in 1975.

With no official release date announced till now, it is clear that movie will be surely postponed and small budgeted movies have started doing the celebrations. Yes, varun sandesh has replaced Pawan Kalyan because his ‘Happy Happygaa’ is now getting released on August 11.

There was never such craze for any of the films in recent past. Super Star Rajinikanth and Power Star Pawan Kalyan, the matinee idols for South Indian audience are raring to strike the BO with their ‘Robot’ and ‘Komaram Puli.’ Although official release dates haven’t been confirmed for both the movies yet they are able to generate such mania in Andhra and Tamilnadu which hasn’t been witneesed in near past.

Away from Star status of these heroes, one big plus for both the movies is AR Rahman’s music getting into public as slow poison. With already a record sales for ‘Puli,’ now ‘Robot’ is creating new wonders in Tamilnadu. Made on very huge budgets, ‘Robot’ is releasing worldwide in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages while ‘Komaram Puli’ sticked to pure regional logistics.

With tentative release dates of ‘Puli’ with in next two weeks and ‘Robot’ in next months first week, its better that both of them left enough space between each others collisions. Not a single buzz word, this time its two buzzers in South ‘Robot and Komaram Puli.’ Let us wish that, these two movies showcase the Power of South once again. Nag's Legal Notice to 'Agnivarsham' producers

‘Agnivarsha’ is an offbeat Hindi film that was released in 2002, featuring some big names like Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Nagarjuna, Milind Soman, Sonali Kulkarni, and Amitabh Bachchan in a guest role.

While Akkineni Nagarjuna’s role is limited, his role is a touch negative though it is an extremely important one. It seems he had an agreement with the producers of the film HNBI and Sunny Films that it can be dubbed in Telugu only with his permission.

This could be because the though Nagarjuna had excelled in the film, his role is touch negative and also has some intimate scenes with Raveena Tandon. All this might not work well for Nagarjuna, who is viewed completely differently by Telugu audiences.

But recently T. Nagara Varma under the SSM Creations banner, seemed to have bought the rights and promoting the film as ‘Agnivarsham’.

Akkineni Nagarjuna today has issued a public notice that anyone going against his agreement with the film producers will be liable for Legal and Criminal charges.

While Nagarjuna is right with his deed, the producers of the film, HNBI and Sunny films haven’t responded to this situation as of now. But they have seven days to reply to Akkineni Nagarjuna’s notice. Lets see if ‘Agnivarsham’ will be released in Telugu.

Angry man Rajasekhar who fell flat with all his last ventures is desperately looking for a break. With no other weapons left in his arm, Rajasekhar once again relied on brother sentiment from failed director Jonnalagadda Srinivas (Srinu). With Kamalinee Mukherjee as heroine, small time player Natti Kumar tried it big time. Let us see, did this movie really turn Bangaram for Annayya Rajasekhar.

Shivaji (Rajasekhar), is the responsible elder brother who is nothing less than a father and mother for his six brothers (Rohith, Raj Kiran, Yeshwant, Aditya Om, Ping Pong and Bharath). Loosing their parents at very small age, Shivaji challenges his uncle Subba Raidu (Sayaji Shinde) to groom his brothers into a collector, doctor, music directors, military officer and hotelier. Naturally looking at Shivaji’s sacrifice, all six brothers look upon elder ones with awe and respect. This family has a big support in the form of one more uncle Parameshwar Rao (Jayaprakash Reddy) who forces all the time Shivaji for marriage.

Naturally when all the six borthers request for a ‘Vadina,’ Shivaji accepts and finalizes on Manju (Kamalini Mukherjee). Here is the twist, Manju’s sister Nandini (Jhansi) is upset with her married life after becoming part of a big joint family. Unable to do service to the family members, Nandini divorces husband and doesn’t want the same to happen for her sister. So, she believes in small, nuclear family to offer the hand of Manju.

As Shivaji falls instantly in love with Manju, Parameshwar Rao hides about the six brothers of Shivaji and settles the marriage. Manju now enters the family of Shivaji, then the secret is busted and she leaves back to her sister. Six brothers looking at the condition of Shivaji missing the company of Manju sign an agreement with Nandini to leave their brother once for all.

One by one, all five brothers get away from Shivaji in the name of career and settlement. That’s too late, Manju is now pregnant and she starts slowly understanding the vaules of a a joint family. At this moment when director is trying hard for climax, here comes Subba Raidu suddenly attacking the six brothers and Manju getting into pains for delivery. As expected, Shivaji will start beating the goons saving brothers while all five brothers together start saving their Vadina by doing delivery on the spot. How did Manju and Nandini realise their mistake about a Joint family? How did all the six concentrate on their career? form rest of climax.

Rajasekhar who delivered sentimental hit movies like ‘Akka Mogudu’, ‘Maa Annayya’ and many more failed this time. Episodes in first half where Rajasekhar indirectly speaks about his real life character and taking the name of Chiranjeevi as most popular in the state were received well by audience.

Rajasekhar’s presence, Kamalini’s glamor, few sentimental episodes in second half are treated postitves; no comedy, unimpressive characterisations, lacking of emotion, blunders in scripting, confused direction are weighty negatives for this movie.

A well knit tale, the story begins with Brahma (rajendra prasad) having a small misunderstanding with Saraswati (kalyani). The scene changes to Bhulokam and there is Sreenu (sivaji) who is keen on getting married but doesn't have a degree. His life takes a turn when he sees Swetha (sonia) and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Sreenu's friend Sobhan Babu (venu) decides to do a penance and manages to get Brahma's attention. The god gives him a pot and by drinking it, he will get the powers to read everyone's fate. However, a situation gets Sreenu to the spot and he ends up drinking the magic potion in the pot. As expected, his life becomes perfect but not before it has its share of consequences. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

The director has come up with an appealing tale and while the presentation was good, the narrative could have been better. The dialogues were good, the script was okay and the screenplay was apt. Background score could have been avoided at few places and one song was good. Cinematography was above average, editing was okay, costumes were suitable and the art department was effective. Visual graphics were convincing. Rajendra Prasad yet again proves why he is the best, Sivaji was competent and gave a talented performance, Sonia is a revelation and she has a strong potential, Venu Madhav was witty, Jayaprakash Reddy was good, AVS made his presence felt, Aarthi Agarwal was appealing, Raghu Babu was loud, Pragathi, Laya, Kalyani did their bit as required, the others came and went.

The film is basically an entertainer with the divinity element and for a change, Lord Brahma was given a key place. While the first half takes off promisingly, the second half gets a bit dragged due to unwanted melodrama and non situational song. Overall, the film has been presented well but the content could have been stronger. The comedy part is okay and if it was given more focus, the entertainment quotient would have increased. This will be an average grosser at the box office and it is suitable to all genres of audience.

Nicolas Cage walks out off 'Trespass'

Nicolas Cage has left "Trespass" in lurch. Deadline Hollywood first breaks the story which is later confirmed by Millennium Films via Entertainment Weekly. The star bails on the upcoming project before the movie is set to begin production in Louisiana in just two weeks.

According to reports, Cage has been on vacation in the Bahamas and nobody can reach him. Insiders say he is not coming back for the project and Millennium will move forward without him. The studio also plans to keep the film on schedule though they have not found a suitable replacement.

Cage was supposed to play one of two thieves who take a couple hostage in hopes of earning some easy money. Nicole Kidman is set to play the wife. The role of the husband, which was initially going to Cage before he opted to play the thief, has been offered to Liev Schreiber but he has not accepted yet. Joel Schumacher is attached to direct the action adventure flick.

It is not clear why Cage decides to back out of "Trespass" but his departure comes on the heel of the failure of his latest movie "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". His representative still could not be reached for comment.

Ex-Emmerdale star Adele Silva has been cast in horror comedy Strippers Vs. Werewolves.

The movie, which is being produced by Dead Cert's Jonathan Sothcott, will revolve
around the accidental killing of werewolf chief Jack Ferris in a stripclub. The girls
who work at the venue then have until the next full moon before his pack seeks them out for revenge.

Silva told of her role in the production: "I'm really looking forward to being involved
in S vs. W. The script is very funny and all the female roles are very strong.
"It's something you can get your teeth into, which is great for an actress. It makes a
nice change from all the guy-centric, gun-toting gangster films out there - a bit of
girl power for a change!"

Fox 2000 Pictures which will distribute "Water for Elephants" has finally chosen a release date for the movie. According to Box Office Mojo, the studio announces that April 15, 2011 will be the day when the drama hits U.S. theaters.

In the meantime, Sony / Screen Gems has set a new release date for "Country Strong". Still per Box Office Mojo, the movie is now scheduled to hit theaters across the nation on January 7, 2011 or pushed back for about six months from the old release date of December 22, 2010.

Having Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon as the leads, "Water for Elephants" follows an orphaned veterinary student character who is put in charge of caring for the animals in a traveling circus. Jason Reitman and Charlize Theron are in talks to direct and star in, respectively, "Young Adult," a Diablo Cody-penned script set up at Mandate.

Mandate picked up the script in March, but the latest development marks Reitman's first return to the director's chair since helming "Up in the Air" and also reunites a good portion of the team behind the boxoffice and critical hit "Juno."

The story, a dark comedy, follows a thirtysomething, divorced, young-adult fiction writer (Theron) in Minneapolis who returns to her hometown to chase the ex-boyfriend, who's now married with a kid, that got away.

Mr. Mudd's Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith are producing along with Mason Novick and Cody. Reitman will likely act as a producer, while Steven Rales -- the principal of Indian Paintbrush, which co-created Reitman's Right of Way production banner -- may act as exec producer.

Mandate president Nathan Kahane and Mr. Mudd's John Malkovich are exec producing.

Mr. Mudd, Mandate and Novick were producers on "Juno," which Cody wrote and Reitman directed.

The "Adult" team is eyeing a mid-October start in New York. Financing for the movie is still being cobbled together, and the producers are hoping to set up the project at a studio.

British comedian Russell Brand suffered cuts and bruises after a truck hit the car he was travelling in.

Brand, 35, was on his way back from the set of his new movie "Arthur" in New York Friday when a heavy truck ploughed into his Lamborghini, He had bought the $240,000 car on a loan.

"The whole incident was pretty terrifying. Russell was very shaken. He refused to go to A&E (Accident and Emergency) despite severe bruising and cuts. He's gutted as he had just taken a loan for the car," a source was quoted as saying.

Brand was trapped in the passenger seat and used the driver's door to come out.

"It was pretty terrifying. This massive truck came out of nowhere and ploughed straight into Russell's side of the car. The driver of the car ran around to the passenger door but it wouldn't open. Russell had to climb over and escape through the driver's door. He looked very shaken but he kept his sunglasses on," added another source.

Brand's mother has flown out to the US from Britain to visit him while his pop star fiancee Katy Perry is performing in Malaysia.

Ravi Teja’s ‘Don Seenu’ which went for Censor Board review yesterday, received a U/A certificate. It is believed that the film’s length is 4745 meters which comes close to 3 hours time. The Censor Board had no problem giving the film a U/A certificate after suggesting two minor cuts.

Don Seenu is slated for release in August 6th and will be released across Andhra Pradesh and overseas with more than 300 prints. The movie has generated good hype in the film circles. Ravi Teja will be seen on screen with two heroines Shriya Saran and Anjana Sukhani along with other actors like Srihari, Sayaji Shinde, Kausalya etc.

The film marks the debut of director Gopichand Malineni who earlier worked with Srinu Vytla and others.

'Shakti' completes shoot in Kulu Manali @ MusicPlaaza

NTR ‘Shakti’ movie completes shooting in Kulu Manali. ‘Shakti’ unit came here a fortnight back to shoot some important sequences after completing a busy Ladakh schedule.

NTR will now be heading to Haridwar tomorrow for a two day schedule, and later would return back to Hyderabad August 5.

NTR tweeted, “Done with my tiring days in manali..gonna shift to haridwar tom..will shoot there for two days..then back to hyd on the 5th.”

Shakti’ is directed by Meher Ramesh of ‘Kantri’ fame and produced by Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Already the expectations are running high for this high budget movie. Sonu Sood, Kamasutra model Pooja Bedi and Bollywood hero Jackie Shroff are also featuring in this movie. Also, ‘Shakti’ movie has Supestar Krishna and Vijay Nirmala. Ileana is playing the female lead in ‘Shakti’.

The dialogues are written by Satyanand, Photography by Sameer Reddy, while Mani Sharma is scoring the music. Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor and story by Yendamuri Veerendranath.

NTR ‘Shakti’ is tipped to be a socio-fantasy film releasing in December 2010 or for 2011 Sankranti.

has given go ahead to Gautham Menon when the director approached for a new film.
