Hrithik Roshan tweets his Quitting

Hrithik, who has been on a near two month long Twitter sabbatical while on location in Spain filming for Zindagi Milegi Na Dubara, returned to the social networking site today to make a big announcement.

He will quit smoking!

"Hello tweeple!! Giving up smoking today! Any of u disgusting smokers wanna join me?? Love to the rest of u non smokers!! :):)," he Tweeted cheerily.

Hrithik is reported to have got hooked on to the cancer weeds while filming for Guzaarish, in which his character is shown to be a wheel chair bound smoker.

In June, there were reports that he is struggling to give up the habbit. Hrithik response to the reports was amazing, verging on the comical.

"Read news that I'm trying to use nicotine patches to quit smoking. It's not true," he said.

"I smoke just 2-5 cigarettes a day now. I know it's not the best thing but if well balanced with exercise and diet, not too bad either," he added.

Something changed, and it changed for the better.

Guzaarish, in which Hrithik is paired opposite Aishwarya Rai, release in theaters on November 19. Its theatrical trailer releases on September 3 with We Are Family.
